[Hillman finally started for the Giants, but it is said that
he still feels something wrong with the left shoulder. He
has been just registered today, but the Swallow manager
Nomura seemed to guess his start (FYI, in CL, you can't
know the starting pitchers in advance) because he put
right-handed batters from the lead-off throught the sixth
in batting order. Anyway, Hillman was not what he used
to be in Marine days. He had bad control.
Bross commented that he couldn't think that Hillman
and he started in Japan, 800 miles away from the US
(I don't know what he says: I just read it on Japanese paper)

[The Swallows again shut the Tigers out with four pitchers.
The Tiger manager Yoshida was ejected in the second inning
protesting against the umpire-in-cheif Dimulo (sp?) from
the US(3A). The play was as follows: Nakagomi grounded to
pitcher and Bross got it and tagged Nakagomi. I'm not sure,
but it is said that the umpire didn't call out at the time, so
Bross threw the ball to first. But the ball hit the back of
Nakagomi and he reached to first. Dimulo called Nakagomi
out after the ball hit his back, so Yoshida got angry that
the call was too late. Yoshida protested in English but
he didn't allow the translater to join, and he touched the
body of the umpire with his fingers so Dimulo considered
that Yoshida wouldn't understand him to deley the game and
Yoshida also insulted him. Yoshida seems to be poor at English.
Yoshida said that he couldn't understand why he was ejected.
FYI, Yoshida was the manager of France National Baseball team,
so he is a rather internationalized person. But the Tigers
is now the team of pitching, so Yoshida has to be very
sensitive on diffrent strike-zone and bad calls]
