[Old Ochiai didn't play tonight, but instead Kida pitched
 a shutout game :-(  In the 5th, Funaki allowed Motoki
 to double after bad call of ball on count 2-2 and Gotoh
 socred.  In the same inning, Kida suceeded a suicide
 squeeze on count 3-2 with runner Motoki on third and one out]

[It turned out that Bross of the Swallows had fatigue
 fracture (hirou-kossetsu in Japanese) of the right leg
 (the fibula, hikotsu).  He will be missed for over one
 month.  Yoshii is now the ace of the Swallows and he
 pitched a complete game tonight.  The rest of the season
 will be tough for the Swallows]

 third on dobule stealing and after he threw, his hand hit
 the bat of the batter Nimura, who just swung out.  The
 Fighter manager Ueda complained that the play was obstruction
 in vein.  After that the Marines tied the game with Hirai's
 clutch hit and Taguchi had pain hand but got a game-winning
 homerun off Hillman]

[It seemed that the Fighters blew the Marines out

 in the 6th with Hirai's 3-run homer and so on, but
 they couldn't catch up with the Fighters.
 Ducey, the lead-off of the Fighters, got a homerun
 in the first, so now he hit eight 'lead-off homeruns',
 which is the tie record of the most lead-off homeruns
 in a season.  A 'lead-off homerun' is a homerun which
 is hit by lead-off batter in the top or bottom of the
 first inning]

[I was in the Chiba Marine Stadium.  The Buffaloes
 scored 10 runs with 16 hits, but thier scale seemed
 to be rather small because they got 11 singles.
 In the second inning, Marine fielders got two errors
 so Komiyama gave up 2 unerned runs.  In the forth
 inning, there was a bad call at the first base when
 catcher threw to first to pick the runner out.  One
 second later 1B Nimura was ejected.  It seemed to me
 that the runner was out, and I missed that Nimura hit
 the umpire :-)]

 At Seibu Stadium, Hoshino of the Blue Wave started,
